We follow the Cleaning Accountability Framework (CAF) — an independent, multi-stakeholder initiative that promotes fair labour practices in the cleaning industry.
Cleaning is one of Australia’s highest-risk industries for underpayment and exploitation, often because contracts are priced below what it costs to pay people properly. We don’t do that.
What CAF means at Strata Cleaning Co.
- Correct pay — at least the Cleaning Services Award 2020, penalty rates, superannuation and leave
- Accurate pay records — every shift recorded electronically, so every hour worked is paid
- Realistic workloads — we price the work a building actually needs, so cleaners are never rushed
- No sham contracting — subcontractors must pay award rates and prove it
- A voice for cleaners — toolbox talks, consultation and a confidential whistleblower process
- Regular audits — quarterly payroll audits against the Award
