Ethical sourcing

Zero tolerance for modern slavery.

Strata Cleaning Co. is committed to preventing modern slavery in our business and supply chains.

Modern slavery includes forced labour, debt bondage, servitude, deceptive recruiting, human trafficking and the worst forms of child labour. The cleaning industry, and the supply chains for uniforms, gloves and consumables, carry real risks. We take them seriously.

Our commitments

  • Our workforce. Everyone is employed directly or through verified subcontractors, paid at least the Award, with their own identity documents, free to leave, and able to raise concerns confidentially.
  • Our suppliers and subcontractors. We assess modern slavery risk before engaging suppliers, include modern slavery clauses in contracts, and audit subcontractor pay and conditions.
  • Training. Managers are trained to recognise warning signs — withheld passports or wages, recruitment debts, workers who are not free to leave.
  • Reporting. Anyone can report a concern confidentially under our Whistleblower Policy. If someone is in immediate danger, call 000. The Australian Federal Police (131 237) accepts reports of human trafficking and slavery.

Our policy

This statement is reviewed annually. We are not currently a reporting entity under the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), but we voluntarily follow its principles.
